She pulls up next to him in the finest sedan she can get from the company, and pushes down the passenger's side window. "Get in," she says, her eyes never wavering.
He takes a step back cautiously. "Why?"
Lilah smiles and opens up the passenger's side door. "Because dropping Angel into the ocean didn't work, and I know a better way."
He pauses, thinking, then opens the door and slides in. She smiles sharply, pulls her skirt higher, and shifts into drive.
